Disobedient Bodies: JW Anderson Curates the Hepworth Wakefield - OUGD502

From the start of this post I am going to admit that I had no clue about JW Anderson or any of his work. I was told on the day of the exhibition about the launch night and decided to go as a group last minute to see what it was all about. Although this isn't something I am interested in within my practice it is always good to branch outside to gain some inspiration you may not have received from other areas or from being sat at home. Just being in the presence of these people passionate about the work is great and the Hepworth in general is always a good experience. There was a room full of ridiculously long jumpers that was completely interactive, like I said we didn't go because we knew about the work so we spent a lot of time having fun interacting with it in this room. Even just little things like having interactive pieces in an exhibition or having a look at how work is displayed and laid out is always helpful. The exhibition was fun and different to what I am used to visiting things like this I think will really help me improve as a designer and keep things fresh for me.
