Self Branding - Digital Development

I went back to the idea of using JoKES for my logo thinking I could create some sort of ironic design using the letters and then have a tie that was also a pen. The design was not good and I didn't enjoy it at all, I thought it was funny which helped the name but it was almost funny because it was bad. It just wasn't right for who I am or what I was trying to portray with the name.

This idea was going back to the superhero symbol idea, I wanted to take it further but I could already see that it had gone far enough. I didn't want to force the design out and felt this is exactly what I was beginning to do. Some of the sketches i had done earlier had worked as some form of a symbol but again it was too much I didn't want people to have to decipher my design.

I call this design Joshua Storey interior designer, the look was not at all what I wanted and didn't say Graphic Designer I didn't feel. I did try and make the design simpler and as if it were some sort of pattern or shape rather than my initials but like I said for the last design I didn't want someone struggling to understand.
